WHO WE ARE
Pacific Camera Positioning Systems is a Design and Prototyping operation located in Burnaby BC. Starting in 2001, PCPS does technological design and development. Specializing in Robotic systems, we have expertise in Mechanical Design and build, Software and Firmware development, PCB design, Electronics and Systems integration.
I am Mike Johnson, the principal at PCPS.
My skills and background are well suited to integrated development.
I have experience in firmware, software and UI development as well as electronics, pcb design, controls, wiring, robotic actuator design, mechanical design and workflow development.
This broad set of skills across many disciplines gives me a great understanding of how an integrated system comes together. Having the skills to build the design as a prototype or small batch gives an edge. I design knowing what works and what does not when it comes to build time.
I design, prototype and commission complex integrated projects and deliver quality results. I am able to translate designs into reality quicker then other approaches. By condensing many different steps into the same shop, I am able to expedite and control much of the timing constraints that come from outsourcing every step.
Developing new workflows for complex processes is something I excel at.
I have a number of proven freelance resources that I can call upon for delving into the most detailed aspects of a project and have a high level of direct expertise in many areas.
